Quality & Frames

Limited Edition Prints

All of our prints are limited editions each print produced as an edition of 500 or 1000. A lot of our prints are designed as part of a series so if you miss one you really like, look again as you’ll find something similar in the next volume.

Authentication

Your poster will be printed with those all important details on the front; title and volume number, so there’ll be no doubt that you own a true Ink Poster.

Our posters are made using traditional lithographic or screen-printing methods on beautiful uncoated paper. All of our prints are of the highest quality; our printers know their craft and care about their product.

The Quality of Screen Printing

Screen-printing began as an industrial process, becoming popular with American graphic artists in the early 1900s. Big areas of bold, solid colour and very slight imperfections are the characteristics of a process that gives each print a personality of its own.

Frames

All Ink prints measure 70cm x 50cm portrait. This is a common size so you’ll be able to pick up a frame to show off your print from just about anywhere. We’ll be offering framed Ink Posters at some point in the future. In the meantime we recommend you try Ikea or Habitat for something relatively cheap or try your local specialist framer for something better.

Paper

Our paper is by two companies, the famous Italian paper producer Fedrigoni. We currently use a paper called Freelife Vellum White. We chose this paper for its warm white tone, wonderful texture and great printing performance. It’s a high quality uncoated paper with great environmental credentials.

Our paper is 100% recycled and is FSC accredited.
For more information go to Fedrigoni Paper – ecolabel and The Forest Stewardship Council.

We also use a paper called Colourplan supplied by GF Smith and made in Cumbria by James Cropper.
This paper has a unique texture and quality incomparable to any other paper we’ve found. It’s also available in a massive range of exciting colours.
